Cleo Jackson is a Sales Engineer with successful Burnley manufacturer FloControl Ltd and uses all the skills and knowledge she has gained on her Foundation Degree in Business and Management – and her top-up degree in Business Management – to take her performance to the highest level.
Driven to help her employer succeed in new markets and beat every sales target before her, Cleo chose to study at degree-level at Burnley College University Courses after completing her Themis Advanced Business Administration Apprenticeship.
She chose to study Business at university-level as the course covers so many interesting subjects integral to business success, with her favourite modules being entrepreneurialism and managerial decision-making.
During her studies, Cleo has accessed academic support from specialist Lecturers to perfect her referencing skills, discover how to write in an academic style and develop her critical thinking skills. She also benefitted from support from the National Careers Service advisors in developing the specific skills needed for roles within industry.
My experience at Foundation Degree level was excellent, the support from the teachers was unparalleled! The small class sizes really work to your advantage. Also, the industry knowledge amongst the staff was great for use of examples and furthering our understanding of how other organisations operate.
Study something you love, which furthers your career prospects and keep your eye on that end goal! Invest in your future! No one will create your future life except yourself.
