About the course

Progress to a career in the construction sector, with a focus on design and surveying. This course will ensure you have the knowledge and skills needed to progress into highly skilled employment, an Apprenticeship or higher-level study, including university, within the specialist area of design and surveying.  

You will study a wide range of topics including building technology, digital technology, construction mathematical techniques, construction and the built environment industry, sustainability, relationship management, commercial business, and project management.

Learners studying this T Level have a wide range of progression options including apprenticeships in:

• Level 3 Construction, Level 4: Construction Site Engineering Technician, Construction Quantity Surveying Technician
  
• Construction Design and Build Technician, Building Services Engineering Technician
•  Electrotechnical
• HNC, HND programmes or construction degree programmes.

Entry Requirements

Five GCSEs at Grade 5 or above including English and Mathematics or a relevant Level 2 qualification.

Assessment

Assessment is via two written examinations, two employer set practical assessments and the completion of a 315 hour industry placement.
