Sixth Form
Through Tutorial sessions you will have regular access to individual support from your Tutor/s who will work closely with you to build a productive academic relationship, where you are confident to ask questions, express concerns and seek clarification.
Our Tutors are experienced experts in their field and understand your personal academic journey, offering you the time and space to provide alternative learning methods tailored to your individual learning style and explaining their subjects in greater depth.
Tutors can signpost you to additional learning resources to allow you to embark on additional studies, to strengthen your application to university or employment. They are also trained to recognise any specific learning difficulties you may be encountering and work with colleagues to find solutions though additional learning support.
As a Themis Apprentice, your designated Trainer and Tutors are on hand to offer you the individual industry-specific advice and guidance needed for you to excel and will work closely with you on an individual basis. University
Individual Tutorial support is an important aspect of your degree-level learning, offering you the opportunity to discuss concepts and theories with your Lecturer on an individual basis. Through regular Tutorial sessions you will have access to individual support from your Lecturers, who will work closely with you to build a productive academic relationship, where you are confident to ask questions, express concerns and seek clarification.

In advance of your university-level studies you will be invited to take part in valuable workshop sessions to give you the academic skills you need to succeed, on subjects including referencing, academic writing, research methods, assessment methods and time management. Throughout your time at BCUC (Burnley College University Courses) you will also be able to access individual academic support at regular ‘drop-in’ sessions led by experienced Lecturers.
Adult Learners
As an Adult Learner we recognise the importance you place on individual support and encouragement from your Tutors. Returning to study after a break may seem daunting but we are here to provide you with the tailored support you need to succeed.
