An exciting opportunity has become available for a friendly and helpful Apprentice to join our Human Resources team at a pivotal time of transition and change for Burnley Football Club.
Do you have a keen interest in HR and eager to learn more? You may be our next Human Resources Apprentice!
The ideal candidate will have excellent time management skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
This role will provide a generalist experience within a range of HR activities including recruitment, equality and diversity, updating and maintaining HR records and being a point of contact for general HR queries.
This is a varied role which will provide you with an insight into a Human Resources department. You will develop an up-to-date knowledge of polices and processes with an understanding of employment law.

• Provide confidential administrative support to the HR team to ensure that we are fully compliant and meet exceptional standards.
• Support the HR team with the recruitment and selection process which will include preparing job adverts and job descriptions, advertising vacancies on the relevant websites, organising interviews through our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and liaising with candidates.
• Support the HR team with the onboarding process for successful candidates, which will involve requesting references, collating onboarding & right to work documentation and setting them up on our HR systems.
• Taking confidential meeting minutes.
• Maintain HR communication channels through SharePoint and our HR system.
• Maintain and update HR personnel records with documents such as letters, training, right to work in the UK documentation, new starter documents etc.
• Chase managers for relevant documentation such as return to work documentation for sickness absences, induction checklists, leaver checklists etc.
• Liaise with departments across the club to organise quarterly inductions for new employees.
• Prepare data for reports.
• Support the HR team with our internships programme and The Hive programme.
• Assist the HR team in correctly formatting any reports, presentations and documentation as and when required.
• Support with the implementation of new staff benefits.
• Assist the HR team with administrative support on delivering our EDI strategy.
